Tanning
What To Keep in Mind
After field care, one of the most important steps to ensuring a quality mount is tanning. Although this
may cost more, the end result is well worth the extra expense. Remember, we can not be
responsible for problems that may occur during the tanning process due to the unknown
circumstances (i.e., how the hide was handled) before we received it. We can not guarantee any
hide until it has completed this process. We will contact you if any problems do occur.

At Brumfield Taxidermy Studio we offer a nearly unlimited array of mounts. We customize each
mount to suit each particular animal. We are able to sculpt and alter to any position or pose
preferred by the client. We make sure that any necessary anatomical changes and overall
composition are taken into account. This is critical in producing a lifelike mount.

Finish work and detailing may seem like a small part of the taxidermy process, but it is actually the
step that brings the animal back to life, and makes your mount a "trophy." At Brumfield Taxidermy
Studio, the finish and detail step is as important as every other step that comes before it. No corners
are cut. No time is spared. No detail overlooked.
Bases and Habitat
This is another of our specialties. Although we believe the focus of any quality mount should be on
the animal, we give special attention to the base it is displayed on. A beautifully mounted animal
loses its unique appearance when placed on a generic base. We create a realistic habitat that will
add to the beauty of the animal without overpowering it.
Crating and Shipping
At Brumfield Taxidermy Studio we offer a unique system for getting any size or type mounts to you
anywhere in the continental United States.
Through our personal transport service your mount and be personally delivered right to your door.
They will assist you in unloading and moving your mount into your showroom. You don't have to wory
about uncrating our mount and disposing of the packing materials. The cost for this service is
usually less than the charges for shipping by a common carrier or trucking company and the
personalized service is included. Call us for details.
In some cases it is necessary to crate and ship the animal. Because of volume discounts, we are
able to offer discount rates, and our experience ensures your mount will arrive safe and secure.
